Firepit Red is a special cuvée of estate grown grapes from two vineyards that surround Darcie's home. It offers an abundance of black cherry, blueberry, and ripe plum with hints of clove, and delivers a smooth, vanilla finish. Aged in a combination of American and French barrique barrels, and replete with round, mature tannins, this wine is ready to enjoy now but will continue to improve with age!

The vines run North to South yet tilt to the West with a shallow red clay soil and a persistent breeze that form the ideal combination for growing world-class Merlot, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvigon and Petite Sirah. The Malbec and Cabernet Franc are grown on a rocky patch at the vineyard's highest elevation at nearly 800 feet. They receive plentiful sunshine, cooling winds and fog from San Francisco Bay. Uniquely, its soils, constantly dredged up from the bordering Greenville Fault, drain in all four directions.
