This field blend Zinfandel is big, luscious, and fruit-driven with black currant, plum, ripe cherry and tasty cocoa flavors. Hints of cedar, rosemary, and pepper aromas fairly compliment this complex, juicy wine. Medium-bodied, good round tannins will let it age graciously for the next seven to eight years.
Hand-picked, night harvested, and field blended. Gentle sorted, prior and after destemming. Long, cold soaked 3-4 days, with a moderate 10-day fermentation. Gently pressed to tank and quickly barreled down into combination of American and French oak barrels. We aged it for 20 month with a single pass filtration transfer to bottling tank.
