2020 Bing's Barn Cabernet Sauvignon

Bing's Barn has always been a nod to our local history, particularly the colorful local legends that surround our iconic purple barn. The new label design calls back to the early 20th century, the era of Bing Crosby and Max Baer. The style of this wine also celebrates the Livermore tradition of making Cabs with a small percentage of Petite Sirah. At our winery, these two varietals are grown together as a field blend:  you can find the Petite at the foot of the sun-tortured slopes of Clone 30 Cabernet Sauvignon, surrounding the barn. 

Aromas of dried black cherry, fruit leather, licorice and mulling spice curl up from the glass, hinting at the wine’s depth and tannic character. When sipped, the body has a fine grain character to it, with spicy tannins that cling to your gums. A prominent core of acidity emphasizes the notes of baked blackberry and baker’s chocolate, and there’s a little hint of sarsaparilla on the finish.
