2022 Wine Without Borders Grüner Veltliner

Wine Without Borders strives to grow the world's most interesting wines, despite these varietals not being household names.

Our winemaker grew up making Grüner Veltliner with his family outside of Budapest, who have been winemakers for generations. The Triska Vineyard is one of the Kent family's estate vineyards, and is a unique microclimate: it is consistently a few degrees cooler than the neighboring sites, and runs along an arroyo that attracts fogs and brisk, coastal breezes longer than neighboring blocks.

Aromas of white pepper, apricot and peach are joined by grassy pyrazines, fennel frond and a hint of red pepper flake, with a mineral finish.

Since 2021, proceeds from all Wine Without Borders wines have given back to Doctors Without Borders' relief efforts in Ukraine.
