2023 "Darcie" Cabernet Franc

Part of the Q4 2024 release. Included in the Mixed Palette, Vibrant Reds and Portfolio club packs. 

The Kent family is always playing around with new concepts and ideas, and new ways to showcase our incredible vineyards and terroir. This time, we took inspiration from Darcie’s sketchbook. Her drawing of Mt. Diablo and our rolling hills graces the label of this new line of wines, designed to elevate an evening glass of wine into a moment of connection and inspiration.  

The 2023 Cabernet Franc hails from our newest vineyard, tended carefully by the Lemmons family, and adjacent to our acclaimed Triska Vineyard. It shares the same cool, Pacific-influenced microclimate and gravelly soils. Inky hued, this vintage is fruit driven, with a nose suggesting dark black cherry and garden herbs. On the palate, ample tannins, peppercorn and bay leaf complement the black fruit flavors. While this wine as created ready to drink, its tannins speak to amazing cellar potential, and we encourage you to store a bottle or two for later. Cellar through 2030.
