The 2023 opens with a burst of dried red cherry, cranberry, licorice tea, cinnamon and pecan brittle. These notes come into even sharper relief on the palate, where bright red plum and cassis notes foregrounds the earthier influence of the pinot noir, which contributes hyssop, mallow, and elder bark. The wine's body has an almost velveteen texture, with a strong core of acidity and grippy tannins.
