2023 Triska Vineyards Chardonnay

The 2023 has large shoes to fill: the 2022 “inaugural” vintage of Triska Vineyard Chardonnay won Best of Class at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, which is the world’s largest competition of North American wines. It also scored 91 points in Wine Enthusiast. However, we put “inaugural” in quotes, as the Triska Vineyard has been providing incredible Chardonnay for us for several years. And 2023 is no different.  

Swirl your glass, and take in a bouquet of nasturtium, jasmine, and honeysuckle. This may be the most floral wine we have ever produced! These aromatics are joined by a hint of pink guava, red apple, and vanilla cake batter. Take a sip, and you’ll find that the texture of this wine is extremely soft. Both the ‘cake batter’ note and silkiness are a product of our signature style of lees aging. Lees aging allows our un-oaked chardonnay to have the softness and creaminess of a wine made in oak, with none of the oak character. The wine finishes with a hint of citrus and white pepper.
